URL Cleaner
URL Cleaner
Paste any URL to strip common analytics and ad-tracking query parameters (UTM tags, click IDs, and more), leaving a clean link that's easier to share or read.
The tool specifically targets known tracking parameters — utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, utm_content, gclid, fbclid, msclkid, mc_cid, mc_eid, igshid, yclid, dclid, twclid, and ref — while leaving every other query parameter in the URL untouched, so functional parameters your link actually depends on aren't accidentally removed. This is useful whenever you're copying a link from an email newsletter, social share, or ad click-through and want to share a cleaner version without carrying someone else's tracking data along with it.
- Removed parameters include: utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, utm_content, gclid, fbclid, msclkid, mc_cid, mc_eid, igshid, yclid, dclid, twclid, and ref.
- Non-tracking parameters are preserved — only the known tracking parameter names above are stripped; the rest of the URL (including other query parameters) stays intact.
- Invalid URLs: if the text entered isn't a valid, complete URL (including the protocol, e.g. https://), the tool reports it as invalid rather than guessing.
Why remove tracking parameters before sharing a link?
Tracking parameters reveal where a link was shared from and can make URLs longer and less readable — removing them gives a cleaner link with the same destination.
Will this change where the link goes?
No — only tracking query parameters are removed; the destination page (the URL path) stays exactly the same.
